Nano-biotechnology, the most advanced technology in biotechnology, is poised to meet the medical needs in India. For pharmaceutical companies, nanotechnology promises to shorten time for developing drugs, resulting in lower R&D cost. Speaking at the first World Congress on Nano-biotechnology in Mumbai, Novartis India Ltd vice-chairman and managing director Ranit Shahani said: “In healthcare, the possibilities of Nanotechnology are as expansive as our imagination.
