Louisiana consortium wins $9M grant
Abstract:
A consortium of Louisiana universities beat out competitors in a half-dozen states for a $9 million federal grant to develop a research facility that could help launch high-tech startup companies and attract other federal research dollars. The new Center for BioModular Microsystems, or CBM2, will be housed in laboratory space on GSRI Road formerly owned by Albemarle Corp. "The ultimate goal is to build a national center of excellence in micro-fabrication and nano-fabrication," LSU's Steve Soper said.
