Conference features city companies

Abstract:
Thanks to a Madison company, Platypus Technologies, American soldiers stationed in trouble spots overseas may eventually be given rapid tests for exposure to the plague, while birds and horses in the United States may be quickly checked for the West Nile virus. Another Madison company, Virent Energy Systems, is devising a way to extract hydrogen from sugar water to power a fuel cell that runs your laptop computer or your moped.
