Korea to foster six high-tech industrial belts
Abstract:
The Korean government yesterday selected six areas to be developed into major industrial belts and promised annual support of 100 billion won beginning next year. Changwon is to focus on robotics and mechanical technologies, while Gumi will concentrate on flat-panel displays. Ulsan will be dedicated to the automotive sector and Banwol-Sihwa will concentrate on nanotechnology.
