Micro MRI Tracks Breast Cancer, in Mice
Abstract:
Micro magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using a very fine-particle contrast agent can visualize the lymphatic drainage in mice with experimental breast cancer, researchers report. Lead researcher Dr. Hisataka Kobayashi told Reuters Health that micro MRI with the nano-sized contrast agent called G6 should be very useful clinically "because the information obtained using a very small dose of this agent...can add great benefit to both patients and surgeons."
