Perdue speaks about life sciences at Mercer

Abstract:
Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue emphasized the importance of life sciences to the state's economy Thursday afternoon in a lecture at the Mercer University School of Medicine. He said research in cutting-edge fields such as nanotechnology would help foster breakthroughs in medicine and other fields. Nanotechnology involves research and technological development at the atomic and molecular levels, according to the federal National Nanotechnology Initiative.
