North Texas researchers study buckyball effects
Abstract:
Researchers are raising concerns about toxicity of carbon molecules nicknamed buckyballs, which have been heralded as a versatile component of nanotechnology. "I want to emphasize that the benefits of nanotech are great, and we definitely should not put the brakes on positive nanotechnology research," Eva Oberdorster, the study's leader and an environmental toxicologist with Southern Methodist University.
