Big spike in tiny Nanophase shares
Abstract:
Shares of Nanophase Technologies Corp. soared as much as 27% Thursday after the company said it received a $10-million investment from German chemical company Altana AG. Romeoville-based Nanophase, which develops technology that manipulates matter the size of atoms and molecules, said Altana purchased 1.26 million shares for $7.96 each. Altana now owns 7% of Nanophase’s 17.37 million outstanding shares. (more on earlier article)
