State earns high marks for backing technology
Abstract:
Pennsylvania ranks seventh on the SmallTimes magazine list of the top 10 nanotechnology hot spots in the United States for 2004, up from 10th place last year. And that's no small thing. SmallTimes, which is devoted to the nanotechnology industry -- the science of manipulating very small particles, even individual atoms, to create new products -- said Pennsylvania achieved steady growth in research, industry and venture capital funding of nanotechnology projects.
