Report Ranking Midwest Nanotech Goes Nearly Unnoticed
Abstract:
When a tree falls in the forest with no one around to hear it, it still makes a sound. Likewise, if a troubling technology development isn’t covered by the media, alarm bells still go off even if no one is listening. On March 16, Crain’s Chicago Business ran a brief story about the release of an annual survey called “Top 10 Small Tech Hot Spots,” which ranks states based on their development of “nanotechnology, microsystems and microelectromechanical systems”. Perhaps surprisingly, three of the top 10 states are in the Midwest. (more on earlier article)
