Global Technology Conference Set for Helsinki in June

Abstract:
A one million euro prize - the world's largest technology award - will be presented as the centerpiece of the Millennium Technology Conference, a new international program to explore the role of technology in promoting quality of life. The event debuts June 13-16, 2004, in Helsinki. The first keynote will be given by Professor Sir Chris Llewellyn-Smith, who examines the significance of global cooperation for technological development. Other keynote presenters include Dr. K. Eric Drexler, a visionary analyst of the societal, medical and environmental implications of nanotechnology.
