A conversation with Raj Lartius
Abstract:
Dr. Raj Lartius says there is an unprecedented initiative to fund and support biotechnology and nanotechnology in the United States. He's president of Novascan Technologies Inc. of Ames, and his company and its employees are considered the experts in producing probes for use in nanotechnology, which is the study of things 100,000 times smaller than the human hair. Recently, Novascan was awarded a $200,000 economic development grant from the Iowa Values Fund to almost double the number of employees and support a $2 million capital investment project.
