Simplifying carbon nanotube identification
Abstract:
Carbon nanotubes belong to the fullerene family, a molecular form of carbon quite distinct from diamond and graphite. These cylindrical structures of carbon atoms take two forms: single-walled nanotubes (SWNTs) and multiwalled nanotubes (MWNTs), each of which has its advantages and disadvantages for different applications.
