Abstract:
On Sept. 30, National Institutes of Health director Elias A. Zerhouni laid out a series of far-reaching initiatives known as the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research. Developed with input from more than 300 nationally recognized leaders from academia, industry, government and the public, the Roadmap's goal is to speed the movement of research discoveries from the bench to the bedside.
