Wireless sensors may let road talk to car
Abstract:
Suppose the road could tell you there were rough times ahead? Dr. Mohamed Saafi, of Alabama A&M University, is working on nanotechnology to give streets that kind of smarts. He's developing very tiny transceivers that can be planted in pavement to report on temperature, moisture, stresses and other conditions.
