Peninsula might get nanotechnology funds
Abstract:
In a region rich with research and military applications, the Peninsula would appear an obvious destination for some of the billions of government dollars earmarked to explore advances in a technology on the edge of science. So is nanotechnology in the Peninsula's future? "Yes, we believe so," said Florence G. Kingston, director of the Department of Development for the City of Newport News. "But it's going to take two to five years for some of that funding to filter down in a commercial aspect," she said.
