Congress earmarks $3 million for WMU research efforts
Abstract:
Three Western Michigan University research initiatives, including one with homeland security implications, are slated to receive a total of $3 million in federal funding as a result of the omnibus spending bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives Dec. 9 (including) $2 million from the Department of Energy to the Nanotechnology Research and Computation Center to continue research focused on developing nanosensors to detect chemical, biological and radiological agents in the environment.
