As Congress thinks globally, Oklahoma acts locally
Abstract:
Serendipity reigned last Thursday at an unveiling of a strategic plan that will guide the Oklahoma Nanotechnology Initiative created by the state Legislature last spring. The document was presented to the initiative's advisory council the same day the U.S. House passed a $3.7 billion bill for nanotechnology research that the Senate passed two days earlier. That happy coincidence set an optimistic tone as council Chairman Charles Seeney outlined the state strategic plan's ambitious goals.
