A boost for Texas scientists
Abstract:
Congress passed legislation Thursday that will increase federal funding for nanotechnology research in coming years. The bill, which President Bush is expected to sign, will benefit Rice University and other universities in Texas that have helped the state emerge as a leader in the study of manipulating matter on the atomic scale. "It's a huge endorsement," said Kristen Kulinowski, executive director of the Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology at Rice.
