Matter at the Nanometre Scale: The Cluster Approach
Abstract:
Matter at the Nanometre Scale: The Cluster Approach - Dr Catherine Bréchignac, Director of Research, CNRS, Laboratoire Aimé Cotton, Université Paris-Sud. To be held at Imperial College London on Friday 21 November. Nanoscale science is currently a burgeoning research field that covers the ensemble of research work in physics and chemistry performed on systems having a characteristic length scale of the order of a nanometre. In her talk, Dr Bréchignac will discuss how physical properties, for example, optical and transport properties, emerge at the nanoscale.
