NSF and SRC Form Partnership to Research Nanoelectronics
Abstract:
Today, in an effort to support the industry's work in making semiconductors faster, denser, and cheaper, the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) signed a "statement of principles" outlining a partnership to support university research for future technologies. The partnership, entitled "Silicon Nanoelectronics and Beyond," intends to support research needs identified in the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) and in the integration of biological, molecular, and other emerging areas of electronics at the nanoscale.
