Guardian Industries plans expansion, will add 50 jobs
Abstract:
Guardian Industries Corp. will add 50 employees as part of a $40 million expansion to introduce new technology in order to make more energy-efficient glass at its Kingsburg plant. The complex and extremely thin coatings on glass are designed to retain energy. The process, called nanotechnology, allows the glass maker to add 10 to 15 coatings in a stack that is 15/100 the thickness of a piece of paper.
