Rutgers-Newark researchers receive $1M nanotechnology grant
Abstract:
Efficiently harnessing the power of the largest body in our solar system – the sun – may hinge on harnessing the potential of nanoparticle semiconductors the size of one 10,000th the thickness of a single human hair. A $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) received by an investigative team spearheaded by Elena Galoppini, an associate professor of chemistry at Rutgers-Newark, will allow her and two co-investigators to develop new nanoparticle structures that are hybrids of both organic and inorganic materials.
