Self-forming nanoscale devices
Abstract:
Lars Samuelson of Lund University describes a new bottom-up, self-assembly process that allows the formation of semiconductor nanowires. This development could lead to major breakthroughs in nanoelectronics, photonics, and materials science, believes Samuelson. The cover shows a fantasy picture of nanowire devices integrated with established technologies. (PDF)
