WFU lures nanotechnology from S.C. for development
Abstract:
Thanks to a $1 million investment and a professor eager to come home, Wake Forest University has, almost overnight, become a major player in the emerging field of nanotechnology, which could have significant implications for future economic development. The Center for Nanotechnology, a division of Wake Forest's physics department, will open later this month with 15 highly skilled, well-paid scientists operating out of office space on Deacon Boulevard near the university's campus.
