Israel's Peres sees nanotech as an 'opportunity to change everything'
Abstract:
Shimon Peres, the former Israeli Prime Minister and current Labor Party leader, helped develop Israel's nuclear option some 45 years ago. Now Peres, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate who turned 80 in September, is using his energy to push Israeli science in a different direction. Peres wants Israel to invest in nanotechnology, an emerging field that involves creating things by manipulating materials at the molecular, or even atomic, level. (more on earlier article)
