Gabriel-Chemie introduces new nanofibre masterbatches

Abstract:
Austrian masterbatch producer Gabriel-Chemie can now offer masterbatches filled with new nano-scale carbon fibres. Andreas Eder, research manager at Gabriel-Chemie, said one of the new masterbatches, made with the 200 nanometre fibre at a 30% filling rate in polypropylene, is ready for the market. The nanofibres give rise to improved electrical conductivity and mechanical properties in plastics.
