Self-assembly could usher in mass production of nanotube devices
Abstract:
Researchers from Florida State University, US, have induced single-walled carbon nanotubes to self-assemble by laying down patterns of molecules on a surface. The technique could have applications in wafer-scale manufacturing of nanotube-based devices. “A self-assembly strategy has been adapted by biological systems for billions of years,” Seunghun Hong, who is now at Seoul National University."
