Cash boost for materials research
Abstract:
A Cambridge-developed disruptive technology could be hitting the streets within five years thanks to a £1.2m grant. The material - Gallium Nitride (GaN) - has the potential to power paradigm shifts in the performance of the common or garden lightbulb, lasers and semiconductors across a range of applications.
