Carbon nanotube array senses DNA
Abstract:
Scientists at the NASA Ames Research Center, US, have developed an array of multiwalled carbon nanotubes that can detect low levels of DNA. An array just 20 µm square can detect less than one million copies of target oligonucleotide, a sensitivity comparable to laser-based fluorescence techniques.
