Many of the world's foremost authorities on nanotechnology grappled with a plethora of momentous issues at the National Nanotechnology Initiative conference in Washington -- held from April 2 to April 4, 2003 in Washington D.C., and attracted speakers and hundreds of participants from the Government, military, academia, think-tanks, entrepreneurs, and businesspeople.
