Carbon nanotube-based saturable absorber shows promise
Abstract:
Passive saturable absorbers have attracted increasing attention for their applications in extending the bit-rates and error-free transmission distances of periodically amplified optical transmission systems. Saturable absorber devices offer a potentially simple and cost effective solution for passive optical regeneration.
