Abstract:
There is great interest in the use of carbon nanotubes for a range of high-tech applications from ultra-strong textiles to nanoelectronics. Against this trend, one group of researchers has now gone back to basics, using a bundle of carbon nanotubes to make a simple lightbulb filament.
